Capital One's Enterprise Learning & Development team is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to drive impactful and innovative solutions for the Job Family Learning team. In this role, you'll partner with the business to translate intent into effective learning products using a customer-focused, iterative approach, and independently solve problems.
The Enterprise Learning & Development team is at the forefront of advancing Capital One's talent across the company. The Learning Experience Designer plays a critical role in elevating our talent through the creation of learning products and assets that help our associates be great.
We are looking for someone who can independently drive learning initiatives with a product mindset, delivering data driven solutions through cross-functional collaboration to meet business and learner needs across more technical audiences. They are an expert in learning sciences, a learner advocate, and an active team player.

Responsibilities
Own and manage the entire learning lifecycle—from identifying needs and designing solutions to delivery and evaluation—aligned with business goals and learner needs.
Collaborate cross-functionally to define learning problem statements, distill insights into actionable recommendations, and manage expectations across teams.
Champion an MVP-first strategy for learning solutions to enable rapid concept testing, quick user feedback, and continuous iteration.
Juggle multiple complex learning initiatives with minimal oversight, delivering high-quality results on time without compromising the learner experience.
Apply expertise in learning science and UX principles to design engaging experiences for design and tech audiences.
Use data to measure impact and continuously improve learning solutions and real-world outcomes.
Advocate for learners by balancing learner perspectives with business needs to deliver scalable, valuable solutions.
Collaborate proactively with the team, share best practices, and participate in team ceremonies.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 2 years of experience in Training Design or at least 2 years of experience in Development Delivery or a combination
At least 1 year of experience with Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate, or a combination of the three to create online or eLearning courseware
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of experience in consulting/coaching in a corporate setting
2+ years of experience in project management
1+ year of Training Design and Development for digital modalities
1+ year of experience with mobile content creation/curation and delivery
1+ year of experience with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, or similar)
1+ year of experience working with graphics tools including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator or similar
1+ year of experience in project management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $86,300 - $98,400 for Sr. Learning Associate
Richmond, VA: $78,400 - $89,500 for Sr. Learning Associate
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
