Overview

Communication Intelligence Analyst with experience in COMINT, machine-generated data communications (PROFORMA), and/or Foreign Instrumentation Signals Intelligence (FISINT) is sought to support Theater Army intelligence collection efforts in U.S. Army-Pacific’s (USARPAC) Intelligence Directorate at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct real-time COMINT/PROFORMA/FISINT analysis of signals in the RF and digital domains, focusing on identifying and characterizing potential threats and activities of interest within the Pacific AOR.
  • Utilize advanced COMINT/PROFORMA/FISINT systems, databases, and analytical techniques to perform signals identification, geolocation, and exploitation.
  • Generate time-sensitive intelligence reports, alerts, and briefings to support tactical and strategic decision-making by Combatant Command and Army leadership, as well as operational units.
  • Collaborate with other intelligence disciplines (SIGINT, HUMINT, All-Source) to produce integrated intelligence assessments.
  • Monitor the electromagnetic environment in the Pacific theater, identifying emerging trends and potential vulnerabilities.
  • Perform shift work rotations (day, night, weekend) to ensure uninterrupted intelligence coverage.
  • Adhere to strict security protocols and procedures to safeguard classified information and maintain operational security.
  • Contribute to the refinement of COMINT/PROFORMA/FISINT analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques to enhance the team’s overall effectiveness.
  • Provide direct intelligence support to real-world military operations, training exercises, and crisis response efforts in the Pacific.
  • Approximately 20% travel possible, both to Mainland U.S. and Allied/Partner nations, in support of conferences, planning sessions, and exercises.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Communications Intelligence (COMINT), PROFORMA, or Foreign Instrumentation Signals Intelligence (FISINT) collection and signals analysis.
  • Experience with collection and signals analysis.
  • Knowledge of signal characteristics, structure, parameters, and content.
  • Ability to analyze and report technical characteristics of signals in the RF and digital domains to determine structure, parameters, content, and purpose.
  • Ability to provide shift work support.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with CI polygraph clearance is required. US citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
  • Completed 450/460 Fundamental COMINT Signals Analysis courses.
  • HS diploma or GED with 9+ years of professional experience, Associate’s degree with 7+ years, or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with INDOPACOM Intelligence problem sets.
  • Completion of credentialing Service School such as Navy Cryptologic Technician - Collections (CTR), Army 35S, Air Force 1N2C, Marine 2621, or IC-recognized SIGINT analyst certification course.
  • Completion of Military 451/461 Intermediate COMINT Signals Analysis, 452 Advanced COMINT Signals Analysis, and Intermediate PROFORMA Workshop (IPW).

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000. Salary is determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
