The Role
We’re looking for a Director of Creative to set the standard for what great looks like at Modern Agency. This is a senior leadership role for a proven creative powerhouse who thrives in the fast-paced world of DTC advertising and knows how to make work that performs as well as it inspires.
You’ll own the creative vision across our portfolio of high-growth brands, leading everything from concept to large-scale production to paid social optimization. You’ll inspire a world-class team, shape campaigns that move culture, and partner directly with senior clients—including founders, executives, and celebrity talent.
This is not a “deck-only” role. You’ll be equally fluent in brand-building and growth marketing, ensuring every idea can scale across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and beyond.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the vision. Define the creative direction for Modern Agency and our roster of ambitious DTC brands.
- Make it perform. Oversee campaigns, productions, and content that not only look world-class but are engineered for paid performance.
- Think like a marketer. Apply growth principles to creative so every concept has a measurable business impact.
- Drive premium execution. Oversee high-stakes shoots, commercials, and social-first activations with best-in-class directors, photographers, and stylists.
- Build the system. Design scalable processes that allow us to deliver high-volume, high-quality content for fast-moving brands.
- Inspire and mentor. Lead and grow a multidisciplinary creative team, setting a high bar for craft, collaboration, and innovation.
- Stay ahead of culture. Spot trends before they peak, ensuring our brands are not just participating but leading.
What We’re Looking For
- Agency experience is required. 5+ years in creative, with 3+ years in senior leadership at a marketing agency.
- Proven track record building and scaling DTC brand campaigns that drive measurable growth.
- A portfolio that demonstrates elevated creative + proven results across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other performance channels.
- Deep expertise in performance creative, growth marketing, and data-driven storytelling.
- Experience leading complex productions and high-profile collaborations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills that inspire confidence with senior stakeholders.
- A builder’s mindset—comfortable scaling teams, systems, and creative processes in a high-growth environment.
