Job Description

BryceTech is currently looking for a Graphics Specialist. This position will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Planning and Exercise Division (PED) under the PEDTAC contract.

The team effort will focus on the development of deliberate and crisis action plans, plan validation and exercises, training and professional development, data and geospatial analytics, and technical assistance requirements.

The Graphics Specialist will provide visual communication support, producing graphics, infographics, dashboards, and other design products that enhance FEMA's planning, training, and operational documents. These services must align with industry and government best practices. The Graphics Specialist shall operate in both unclassified and classified environments.

The Person in this role shall be responsible for:

  • Designing and producing graphics, infographics, charts, maps, and visual aids to support FEMA planning and exercise documents.
  • Creating templates, layouts, and formatting for reports, plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical products.
  • Developing Section 508-compliant visual products that meet FEMA's style guides and accessibility requirements.
  • Supporting the creation of interactive dashboards, briefing materials, and decision-support tools.
  • Collaborating with planners, geospatial analysts, and technical writers to ensure visuals align with planning concepts and data.
  • Providing graphics support for planning meetings, workshops, and senior-level briefings.
  • Managing version control and maintaining a repository of graphics products.
  • Assisting in rapid-turn graphics production during FEMA surge operations and crisis action planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Design, or related field.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience producing professional graphics in support of government, emergency management, or technical projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Familiarity with GIS-based visualization tools (ArcGIS, ESRI Dashboards) is preferred.
  • Experience developing products that comply with Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data and concepts into clear, compelling visuals.
  • Experience supporting planning, training, or operational environments (FEMA or DHS experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in hybrid and surge environments (HQ, Regional, or Remote).
  • SECRET clearance preferred.
