Verily is seeking a passionate senior user experience designer to help design a wide variety of solutions for clinical research operations. We are looking for a candidate who excels at systems-level thinking and service design, and who can collaborate across different teams to deliver easy-to-understand and motivating experiences. You'll be responsible for integrating a diverse portfolio of solutions into a single, cohesive, and seamless experience that meet product objectives and fit within the Verily design system guidelines.

As part of the Platform Enterprise team you will collaborate with product managers, software engineers and clinical staff to help solve some of the biggest challenges in clinical research. You will lead the end-to-end design process for a mix of projects, from discovery through to detailed execution, with the opportunity to distill complex problems into simple, beautiful, and powerful user experiences.

This role is part of Verily’s UX team, a highly-collaborative group of designers, researchers, and content strategists dedicated to building Verily’s Precision Health Platform and tools for professionals in healthcare and life sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver delightful user experiences for Verily’s Clinical Trials Management System, for new and existing product areas. Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions.
  • Help identify new opportunities, and translate user needs and business goals into compelling user experiences and rapidly iterate designs based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, researchers and content designers to ensure alignment and successful implementation of design solutions.
  • Help elevate our UX practice by contributing to our broader user experience team participating in design critiques, and supporting company-wide design initiatives, interest groups, and other activities.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into the design workflows.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • An outstanding portfolio of thoughtfully designed products, demonstrating work across the end-to-end design process, from developing strong conceptual foundations to refining the smallest details with clear rationale.
  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field with 5+ years of professional UX Design experience in enterprise software, or consumer products, medical devices or other relevant areas.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with proven success working and aligning with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Figma as well as the technical intricacies of designing accessible, responsive web applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Past work that focuses on Enterprise products, Healthcare, Ed Tech, Clinical Research, or other relevant areas.
  • Experience designing rich data visualizations, complex professional tools, flexible enterprise platforms, AI utilities, or related design solutions.
  • Experience in bringing projects to launch into a commercial market.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000 - $190,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
