Summary: The Mechanical Designer will study plans for upcoming generation of engine models, and develop strategies for improving upon current models, design products using CAD, and consult with engineering and manufacturing teammates to ensure that designs are feasible, consult with fabrication teams during product manufacturing, advising them on design specifications and providing physical assistance, calculate cost estimates for final product designs, and release reports to supervisors, incorporating costs of labor, material, delivery and overhead.

Currently seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our Tyler, TX location

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Designer include, but are not limited to:

Creating and revising models, drawings and bills of materials for rotating equipment parts and assemblies Interfacing daily with Design Team members, and Project Managers, and shop and Q.C. personnel. Qualifications of the Mechanical Designer include:

2-year Degree in Drafting Technology/Engineering Graphics a plus but not required. 4000+ hours experience and is able to read Solidworks experience. (Required). Experience with design tables, weldments, and routing within SolidWorks a plus SolidWorks Certifications a plus (CSWA, CSWP, etc.). PC literate; typically, MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) Flexible, adaptable, self-motivated, and willing to learn. #LI-JA1 #zrja

Additional Information:

Physical Demand: Ability to sit using a computer for extended periods of time. Working Conditions: 90% Office environment 10% Machine/Fab shop Training/Certifications: AS Degree in Drafting Technology/Engineering Graphics a plus, but not required. CSWA or CSWP a plus but not required. Shift Time/Overtime: Day Shift 8am-5pm Overtime with approval. Travel: N/A Education: Bachelor's Degree is a plus
