JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Plan, shoot, edit, and produce high-quality long and short-form video content for various social media platforms to help build fan connection with the basketball program. Take photos and capture video during practices, shootarounds, games, road trips, team activities, etc. Set up and execute video/photoshoots for official/unofficial recruiting visits and facilitate creative recruiting requests. Travel with the men’s basketball team to all away games, team outings, events, and functions.
Develop and implement creative media strategies for men’s basketball in collaboration with the Men’s Basketball staff. Create and promote multimedia projects (photo/video/graphics) for the purpose of men’s basketball culture, messaging, branding, recruiting, and player promotion. Execute strategies for posting on all social media accounts to develop and promote Marquette Basketball, maximizing content and design.
Facilitate strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and external groups (NBA, alumni, creative services vendors, Coach’s Circle, etc.). Collaborate with other departments (marketing, communications, ticketing, Blue & Gold Fund, president’s office, alumni engagement, Learfield, etc.) to execute shared objectives with the Men’s Basketball staff.
Manage digital content database (Dropbox, Box, Canto, etc.) to organize and deliver assets efficiently.
OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications and/or a graphics-related field.
Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
Strong knowledge of social media content creation, including video and graphics, and posting.
Understanding of branding and brand management.
Energetic, motivated, and focused on team goals.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
