Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Autodesk Inventor Designer with 3-5 years of experience, preferably including Substation Design Suite (SDS), to join our substation design team. The ideal candidate can support drafting and design tasks independently and has direct experience in the substation industry. This role offers hybrid or flexible work options after the first 90 days, depending on performance and project needs.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and SDS.
• Support substation design projects with accurate and timely drafting deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineers and other design staff to meet project requirements.
• Assist in maintaining drawing standards and project documentation.
• Contribute to process improvement and support design automation tools.

Required

• 3-5 years of experience using Autodesk Inventor.
• Direct experience in the substation industry is required.
• Experience with Substation Design Suite (SDS) is preferred; training can be provided for candidates with substation experience.
• Strong understanding of drafting standards and design practices in utility substation projects.
• Must be located within 50 miles of an office location.
• Eligible for hybrid/flexible work options after 90 days, based on manager approval and job performance.

Note: Candidates with Inventor experience only and no substation industry experience will not be considered.
