The Opportunity
Adobe.com is the key website for Adobe's direct sales and marketing, and we need a Director of SEO to lead the Creative Cloud and Acrobat SEO teams. The role involves developing and implementing SEO strategies to boost search visibility, driving website traffic, and enhancing Adobe's online presence. You will manage a hardworking team of SEO specialists and collaborate with different departments to integrate SEO practices into all digital initiatives.
We need an SEO expert with a proven experience growth, data-driven decision-making skills, ability to work in diverse, remote teams, and passion for growth and innovation. A solid understanding of tech innovation impacting the search landscape, including ownership of the overall approach to understanding, measuring and optimizing LLMs and chatbots, is essential.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage the SEO team, providing guidance, mentorship, and encouraging a collaborative environment for growth and development.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy that aligns with business objectives and drives organic growth across all channels.
- Work closely with teams like product, PR, social, communications, and product marketing to make use of earned and owned channels to align important metrics and boost SEO impact.
- Implement standard processes for SEO in all web product development and marketing to improve product visibility in all natural search channels.
- Analyze SEO performance metrics (traffic, rankings, conversions) and deliver actionable insights to continually refine and adjust strategies to increase value.
- Be a proactive bellwether to help the business understand and react to new and emerging trends in the search space.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology, LLM expansion and SEO trends, algorithm updates, and shifts in the digital world, adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Report regularly to senior leadership on SEO performance, growth opportunities, and ongoing strategy efficiency.
- Identify and implement SEO tools, technologies, and platforms to improve SEO efficiency, tracking, and reporting capabilities.
- Develop SEO budgets and track the spend to ensure campaigns and strategies are on track to meet important metrics.
- Manage SEO partnerships with agencies or external vendors to ensure alignment with overall business goals and objectives.
What is needed to succeed
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in SEO, including a proven track record of success in leadership positions.
- Demonstrable experience in driving organic growth, growing website traffic, and improving search engine rankings.
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, Brightedge, etc.
- Experience in eCommerce or enterprise-level SEO strategies, driving large-scale growth and optimizing sophisticated web structures.
- Strong analytical skills that derive insights from data and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Familiarity with emerging SEO technologies and tools that drive performance improvements.
- Expertise in international SEO and local SEO strategies to support global and region-specific initiatives.
- Solid understanding of technical SEO including website architecture, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and mobile SEO.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate sophisticated data and strategies clearly to collaborators at all levels.
- Proven leadership abilities, including managing teams across different time zones and collaborating multi-functionally across various groups.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $166,100 -- $334,500 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
