Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to support the development and improvement of mechanical equipment and systems used in industrial applications. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in CAD design using AutoCAD® 2023 and Inventor 2023, with a solid understanding of mechanical design principles and industrial manufacturing processes. This role requires attention to detail, collaborative skills, and the ability to create and maintain comprehensive drawing packages that align with Client drafting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver mechanical equipment designs and layouts using AutoCAD® 2023 and Inventor 2023, ensuring adherence to internal drafting standards.
  • Create and maintain detailed drawing packages, including build documentation, machine part lists, illustrations, and specifications.
  • Assemble complete machine design packages by updating and reviewing existing documentation for accuracy.
  • Redesign mechanical components to improve installation efficiency, address design issues, and resolve equipment interferences.
  • Review and redline installation drawings and collaborate with drafting teams to update documentation accurately.
  • Implement design changes to solve equipment and process challenges while ensuring performance and functional requirements are met.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations (e.g., statics, hydraulics, power transmission) to support new and modified designs.
  • Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to align designs with project goals and client expectations.
  • Provide detailed sketches and markups to support ongoing design modifications and project updates.


  • Required Qualifications
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD® 2023 and Inventor 2023.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drive trains, electrical and pneumatic actuators, and overall system integration.
  • Ability to develop complete drawing packages, including assembly and detail drawings for industrial equipment.
  • Solid knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to interpret pneumatic and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with machining, fabrication, and other manufacturing processes.


  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a high-volume industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.


  • Education
  • Associate’s degree (AAS) in Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.


  • Experience
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.


  • Education: Bachelors Degree
