AV Technical Specialist

Ease Hospitality plays host to a client’s every need from concierge booking of hybrid & virtual meetings to managing state-of-the-art in-house audiovisual events to curating seasonal catering and managing the flow for every meeting.

As the AV Technical Support you will be working hands-on supporting hybrid and in-person events for Ease Hospitality. You’ll be expected to maintain integrity and consistency across each event, understand the in-and-outs of event production, and assist various event departments to help realize the vision of the client. As the lead charge for all tech support services and related information, your main responsibilities will involve the setup, operation, and maintenance of our venue technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in a 5-star hospitality environment
• Lead and supervise production teams and in-house teams through the event execution process
• Assisting with setups for live/hybrid productions when applicable following the company’s stringent COVID-19 safety protocols and OSHA regulations
• Understanding and keeping up with the technology and event industry
• Attending regular meetings and reporting agenda items, regular check-ins
• Maintain AV inventory, pre-event testing, and room setups

Qualifications

• 2+ years of live/virtual event production experience
• Experience with event broadcast and live streaming from venues
• Expert organizational, documentation, and communication skills (written, verbal, visual)
• Working knowledge of virtual event/webinar/content hosting platforms like WebEx, Google Meet/Hangouts, Zoom, Vimeo, YouTube, and other similar streaming services
• Experience working with large scale conference programs, global meetings, and including strong skills interacting with senior-level management
• Hands on experience with AV engineering and a solid knowledge of audio and video signal flow, lighting, video, audio mixers and streaming equipment (Yamaha, Blackmagic, Cisco, Shure MX)
• Experience with Crestron controls, Dante, AVoIP, Digital Signage, Cisco Codecs, and streaming protocols (WebRTC, SRT, RTMP, SIP)
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel/PPT) and Google Docs
• Flexible, dependable, detail orientated, innovative, motivated and enthusiastic about delivering exceptional events
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to think creatively to contribute ideas that will drive value in a dynamic, client-centered environment
• You have a great sense of humor and the mindset, attitude and approach that actively seeks out change, rather than waiting to adapt to change

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates currently at a commercial office building in midtown Manhattan.
