Overview

WHDH is hiring a full-time photographer/editor to shoot and edit news stories on deadline. A thorough knowledge of all ENG practices is required. The job is 100% on-site at either the station’s downtown Boston office or in the field gathering news. WHDH-TV is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit news stories on deadline.


• Maintain a thorough knowledge of all ENG practices.


• Adept multitasker in a fast-paced, breaking news environment and able to handle last-minute changes under pressure.


• Communicate well with co-workers in the field and in the newsroom.


• Work on-site at the station or in the field.

Qualifications

• Candidates should ideally have at least 2 years of professional experience in broadcast television.


• Experience using the following technology and equipment is a plus: Sony PMW-500 HD422 2/3” CCD HD Camcorder, LiveU, and Grass Valley and Avid edit and ingest systems.
