This is a unique opportunity to lead the UX/UI strategy for a Fortune 500 client undergoing a critical digital transformation. Responsibilities
- Lead high-impact UX/UI architecture for a major digital transformation
- Blend design thinking with enterprise-level technical strategy
- Directly engage with C-suite stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Shape scalable, performant, and user-centric applications
- Lead end-to-end solution design for large-scale application refactoring and re-platforming projects
- Act as primary UX/UI strategist and advisor across all engagement phases—discovery, definition, delivery, and transition
- Conduct client workshops to identify user needs, business goals, and technical constraints in ambiguous environments
- Collaborate with internal tech/product teams to ensure seamless integration between UX design and backend systems
- Translate business/user requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and experience maps in collaboration with design/dev teams
- Communicate design rationale and technical implications to gain stakeholder alignment and buy-in
- Define and document UX architecture strategies, information hierarchies, design systems, and UI component libraries
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively
- Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear alignment on milestones and deliverables
- Facilitate design reviews, feedback sessions, and uphold human-centered design practices throughout delivery
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in UX/UI architecture and design for enterprise-level applications
- Proven success in digital transformation initiatives (refactoring, re-platforming, modernization) with tangible business outcomes
- Strong ability to translate abstract ideas and incomplete requirements into concrete design strategies
- Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership
- Deep knowledge of design systems, accessibility standards, and modern front-end frameworks
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and prototyping/wireframing platforms
- Familiarity with web application architecture, APIs, performance optimization, and integration standards
- Ability to own the full UX design lifecycle—from whiteboard to implementation
- Experience working closely with developers, architects, and product teams to ensure design feasibility and scalability
- Prior consulting or agency experience highly preferred
- Experience with agile and hybrid delivery methodologies
- Certifications in UX, Design Thinking, or Architecture (e.g., TOGAF) are a bonus
- Familiarity with Oil & Gas industry clients is desirable but not required
