Position Description
CGI has an immediate need for a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.
Location: This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Washington, DC. A hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior UI/UX Designer to join our team. This role is pivotal in shaping user-centered digital experiences that are both visually compelling and functionally effective. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into intuitive design solutions that meet user needs and align with brand standards.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Strong proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms.
- Deep understanding of UX principles, design thinking, and user-centered design methodologies.
- Experience designing for responsive web and mobile interfaces, with attention to accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Skilled in creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts.
- Ability to conduct and apply insights from user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Comfortable working in collaborative environments, partnering with product managers, developers, and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design decisions clearly.
- Familiarity with design systems and maintaining component libraries for consistency.
- Experience with front-end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
- Prior experience working in Agile product teams.
- Relevant certifications in UX/UI Design or Design Thinking are a plus.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, preferably in enterprise or product-driven environments.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Compensation
At CGI, compensation is determined by multiple factors including skills, experience, training and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $95,800.00 - $154,300.00.
