Senior UI/UX Designer/Developer TS/SCI with Poly REUQIRED — CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a UI/UX Designer/Engineer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state of the art capabilities.

You will be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces and user experiences for digital products, ensuring they are both visually appealing and easy to use. In essence, your responsibilities will include creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs, conducting user research, and collaborating with developers to implement the designs.

This position is located in our Arlington office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • User Research and Analysis: Understanding user needs, behaviors, and preferences through various research methods.
  • UI Design: Creating visual elements like layouts, color schemes, typography, and interactive elements.
  • UX Design: Developing the overall structure and flow of the user experience, ensuring it is intuitive and enjoyable.
  • Prototyping: Building interactive mockups and prototypes to test and refine design concepts.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the design and development process.
  • Technical Implementation: Implementing designs using code, potentially including front end development and design system integration.
  • Usability Testing: Conducting tests to evaluate the usability and effectiveness of designs.
  • Iteration and Optimization: Refining designs based on user feedback and data analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Shall possess a minimum 8 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Education: In addition, shall possess a Master’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education or have Bachelor’s degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education and an additional 2 years of related senior experience, for a total of 10 years, as a substitute to the Master’s degree.
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly
  • Required: Adobe Creative Suite, demonstrated UI/UX design expertise, Microsoft Office Suite, proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly Desired: HTML 5, CSS / SCSS, JavaScript with Typescript, JSON, Angular.js
  • UI/UX Best Practices: Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the US is 99,200.00 - 241,600.00.
