Overview

Mainframe / UI Tester role at Motion Recruitment. This is a 100% remote, 6-month contract-to-hire engagement. The Senior Mainframe and UI Tester will be detail oriented, analyze requirements, understand the SDLC, conceive solutions, develop software, and create and execute test scripts to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and understand the SDLC to conceive test solutions
• Develop software and create and execute test scripts to meet operational needs
• Apply knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS Web Services (CWS), ColdFusion, Java, and JavaScript in testing activities
• Produce timely and accurate status reports, including time reporting and adherence to LOE
• Operate with Endevor and File Manager as part of the testing environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Mainframe Testing experience
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with the Development Life Cycle and System Testing
• Hands-on experience with Endevor and File Manager
• Experience developing timely and accurate status reports, including time reporting and adherence to LOE
• Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS Web Services (CWS), ColdFusion, Java, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of designing markup and developing the UI of websites and/or web applications
• Demonstrated understanding of UX and UI design with emphasis on maximizing usability
