Overview
Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager for a high visibility role supporting Amazon's Prime Video leadership team. This role offers opportunities for impactful analysis, process improvement, and scope expansion. Primary responsibilities include management and reporting of Headcount and Operating Expenses and delivering strategic and insightful ad hoc analyses to leadership. The ideal candidate will learn the drivers of the global Prime Video business and communicate effectively with business and finance leaders. Strong financial modeling skills and the ability to evaluate opportunities and challenges facing the business are essential. The candidate must influence business partner decisions through clear verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and presentation of alternatives. Ability to think and act quickly under pressure and manage multiple priorities is required. A proven track record of superior financial and strategic analysis and delivering recommendations based on this analysis is required. Successful candidates will anticipate the business demands of senior-level managers.
Responsibilities
- Manage and report Headcount and Operating Expenses.
- Deliver strategic and insightful ad hoc analyses to leadership.
- Influence decisions of business partners through effective communication and presentation of alternatives.
- Forecast, analyze, and interpret data; identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and controls.
- Anticipate the business demands of senior-level managers and respond with timely analyses and recommendations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
- 5+ years of tax, finance, or related analytical field experience.
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
- 5+ years of identifying and implementing opportunities to resolve finance issues, improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes across teams and organizations.
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, root cause analysis, and creating/implementing escalation plans.
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analyses, and recommendations with measurable impact (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
