Overview


Position Purpose: Under general supervision, assist the Advanced Ocular Imaging Program within the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences by providing support for a variety of imaging-related research projects.


Responsibilities



  • Assist with image exporting and data organization

  • Assist with filing and recordkeeping

  • Assist with image processing; perform registration of retinal images and image montaging

  • Perform other tasks essential to the operation of the lab as assigned

  • Participate in meetings with Principal Investigator and research staff and evaluate/interpret the validity of data as needed


Knowledge – Skills – Abilities


Must have strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. An ability to work independently as well as collaboratively is vital. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail required. Ability to demonstrate responsibility and dependability when completing assignments as well as plan and organize work according to established priorities and complete assignments accurately within established timeframes. Demonstrates cooperation, courtesy and consideration when working effectively with varied people.


Preferred Schedule


6-8 hours per week spread over 4-5 days per week. Hours may vary based on department need and employee availability.

Minimum Required Education: Completed sophomore year in High School


Certification: CITI training required within 60 days of hire
