Municipal Video Technician - Regular Part-time (Part Time)
Location: Groton
POSITION: MUNICIPAL VIDEO TECHNICIAN
Groton Public Library, AV/Video Services
Regular Part-time position, 20 hrs./wk.
Position eligible for prorated benefits
STARTING RATE:$27.56/hour
POSITION RANGE:$27.56 - $31.66/hour
POSITION OVERVIEW & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The Municipal Video Technician provides technical support for the Librarys Groton Municipal Television division and assists in Town meeting television coverage, producing promotional, informational, educational, documentary, and training video programs.
The skills and knowledge required would usually be acquired with an Associates Degree in Communications, television/film production or a closely related field and two years of experience. Considerable computer experience with a focus on digital and graphic software. Knowledge of studio and field video production required. Familiar with local, state and federal laws and regulations regarding the operation of cable television production and program distribution facility.
Schedule flexibility is needed, as evening and weekend hours will be required. Excellent communication skills and ability to organize and prioritize.
Preferred Qualifications: experience with videography, digital photography, and graphic design, NewTek, TelVue, Adobe Creative Cloud, IP video, and bilingual experience a plus.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
