Senior Product Marketing Manager (1st Marketer)

role at

Watchpoint Labs .

Watchpoint Labs is focused on making security straightforward for early-stage tech companies. We're building a suite of cybersecurity products to help companies get their security foundation right early by being developer focused so value comes in minutes, consolidating the security experience to keep things simple and offering vCISO services for that big picture strategic guidance.

We're looking for our first marketing hire to help us build the foundations of a great go-to-market engine.

Responsibilities

Craft the story: develop our product positioning and messaging for Watchpoint Labs' consolidated security suite, grounding the narrative in startup challenges, developer needs, and cybersecurity trends to create a differentiated story that resonates with early-stage tech teams and enterprise buyers

Lead launches end-to-end: own go-to-market strategy for new features, platform updates, and other security tools, with a focus on driving adoption, compliance readiness (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001), and business growth

Drive lifecycle marketing: orchestrate customer journeys from top-of-funnel sign-ups and awareness, through activation and conversion, to upgrades and retention

Enable revenue teams: create training, collateral, and enablement resources to equip our Sales and Success teams with the tools to close deals, highlight developer-first experiences, and accelerate sales cycles for security-conscious startups

Engage customers: produce compelling content — including webinars, blog posts, technical guides, social media, and more — that educates developers on security best practices, boosts product activation, and positions Watchpoint Labs as a leader in simplifying cybersecurity for early-stage companies

Measure what matters: establish KPIs for marketing initiatives, launches, and campaigns; track performance using data insights; and iterate to optimize results and inform future strategies

Build from the ground up: as our first marketing hire, shape the overall marketing function, from high-level strategy to hands-on execution across content, demand generation, and partnerships

Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity product marketing, or in technical developer marketing with a strong aptitude for cybersecurity concepts

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex security topics — like vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance frameworks — into clear benefits for technical and non-technical audiences

Data fluency to spot market opportunities, analyze campaign performance, and proactively drive measurable outcomes

A builder’s mindset: you excel in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, take initiative to build processes from scratch, and get things done efficiently

An eye for quality: from strategizing GTM plans to crafting developer-focused copy, you deliver high-caliber work that aligns with our mission to make security simple and effective

Bonus points if you have

Experience at high-growth startups, especially in cybersecurity or developer tools

Hands-on knowledge of B2B SaaS in security, compliance (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001), vulnerability management, or GRC tools

Familiarity with developer ecosystems, APIs, infrastructure security, or vCISO services
