$50/hr - $55/hr What You'll Do

As a Gameplay Designer, you will be responsible for finalizing shipping levels by refining gameplay spaces, implementing scripting, setting up and tuning combat encounters, and creating unique events using proprietary engine tools. Collaborating closely with level design, gameplay, art, programming, and partner teams, you will ensure a seamless and high-quality player experience. Responsibilities

Finalize encounters, scripting, and design of ship-ready levels, building upon existing foundations. Construct captivating gameplay moments, including combat encounters, vignettes, and interactive narrative sequences. Author and review level design documentation. Conduct playtesting and iterate on level content to ensure top-tier quality. Collaborate with fellow level designers to foster a positive and productive work environment. Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure a best-in-class production process, player experience, and team dynamic. Work closely with art and engineering teams to meet level metrics, budgets, performance targets, and visual goals. Develop reusable and readable level scripts that can be easily shared and implemented by other designers. Must-Haves

10+ years of experience as a level designer, with at least one shipped title showcasing combat/encounter design and scripting experience on a first-person/third-person shooter. Deep understanding of gameplay and level design principles and best practices. High proficiency in using game editing software (Unreal, Unity, Frostbite, etc.). Experience creating encounters and campaign events using a text-based scripting language (e.g., C#, Lua, UnityScript). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Passion for and knowledge of encounter and campaign design within the studio's game universe. Nice-to-Haves
