Overview
Gap Inc. Director, Visual Merchandising - Franchise + Wholesale role guiding global franchise and wholesale VM across LATAM, Europe, Middle East, Africa, India and Asia. As brand guardian for Gap Inc brands internationally, the role protects visual strategies while delivering localized in-store experiences that resonate with international customers and support the B2B and International long-range plan. The successful candidate will lead global VM teams, drive VM concepts that boost brand and customer equity, and collaborate with senior Brand teams in North America to influence decisions and support store experiences globally. The role includes managing a team of 6 direct reports located across the globe. What You’ll Do
Define annual/seasonal Visual Merchandising strategy to fuel international business growth and align with Marketing, Ecommerce, Commercial, and Product objectives. Partner cross-functionally with regional stakeholders (Marketing, Store Design, Creative, Brand Marketing, Product, Commercial, Planning, Logistics) to complement VM strategies with broader business goals and LR planning. Represent the International VM team to Brand stakeholders across all four Gap Inc brands; influence senior decision-making and drive changes to store experiences. Build relationships with Franchise partners to influence store layouts, budgets and store experience strategies. Oversee Windows development and execution; manage monthly VM directives per brand and visual communications. Collaborate with US Brand teams to tailor US-centric store design and visual strategies for International markets, with the Creative Director and Store Design Director. Drive in-season business and marketing metrics (traffic, conversion) across all store channels internationally; own VM strategies for launches, country/brand/seasonal and collaboration projects. Leverage knowledge of international trends to develop new visual techniques and innovations globally. Lead and develop an experienced VM team across regions, fostering a culture of change and proactive problem-solving. Who You Are
Degree educated with 12+ years’ experience leading global VM teams. Extensive VM and Store Design experience across multiple brands and business models; strong industry reputation and ability to build partnerships with internal/external teams. Proven track record in creating in-store experiences and visual solutions that drive business metrics; deep understanding of Marketing and Ecommerce functions. Experience across multi-regional/international retail, tailoring visual treatments to different markets. Robust financial acumen with ability to manage VM budgets globally. Strong analytical, prioritization and decision-making capabilities in dynamic environments. Effective leadership and people-management skills; ability to influence, motivate and communicate across all levels. High accountability with a collaborative approach to strategy, performance, budgets and resources. Travel availability to work across global time zones. Benefits At Gap Inc.
