Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent practical experience. 6 years of experience in an applied research setting (e.g., product or academic) or similar. Experience with research methods (e.g., usability, studies, contextual inquiries, 1:1 interviews, unmoderated research studies). Experience in core UX principles and methodologies, including user-centered design, information architecture, and interaction design. Experience in planning and executing quantitative UX studies, utilizing tools and metrics such as A/B testing, KPIs, and user analytics to inform design decisions. Preferred qualifications
Master\'s degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field. 5 years of experience conducting UX research on products and working with executive leadership (e.g., Director level and above). 3 years of experience managing projects and working in a changing organization. Experience conducting research with highly technical users (e.g., software engineers, data scientists, or researchers). Experience with the software development lifecycle, tools, or enterprise data infrastructure. Experience leading multi-team research programs and influencing leadership. About the job

You\u2019ll conduct primary research such as field studies, interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and logs analysis. You\'ll have the opportunity to work with UXRs across Google through regular meetups, mentor programs, and access to internal research tools. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional peers to define a strategic idea for the future of experimentation across emerging developer workflows and ecosystems, and align stakeholders across multiple product surfaces. The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google\u2019s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure. We build central solutions, break down technical barriers, and strengthen existing systems. The Core team has a mandate to impact important technical decisions across the company. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $151,000-$222,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and individual pay within the range is determined by location and factors such as skills, experience, and education.
