Director of Corporate Communications & Alumni Relations
Location: Boston, Chicago, New York Overview: This role will be responsible for creating and driving an integrated communications strategy and program with the ability to engage, align and inspire all corporate stakeholders including recruits, employees, alumni and external corporate audiences. The Director will oversee three main functions (Alumni relations, Internal employee communications, and external corporate communications) and will drive the L.E.K. Network program and portal for staff and alumni. The role works closely with the global People (Human Capital) team to manage communications to recruiting audiences as well as current employees, and partners with the leadership team, Human Capital, Talent Acquisition and Marketing to shape and deliver the firm\'s strategy for culture, communications, and engagement. Responsibilities
Internal Communications
Lead enterprise-wide communications; work with leadership and the People team to determine internal communications strategy and execute programs to deliver communications objectives throughout the organization, including corporate culture and business strategy. Deliver communications solutions that effectively communicate corporate priorities and achieve organizational objectives related to leadership changes, process implementations, new solutions offerings, M&A activities, and more. Draft executive internal communications including announcements, updates, and invitations. Support global People team needs related to employee messaging and communications. Develop internal messaging across all platforms including newsletters, email announcements, online intranet, and video. Guide and manage development of the global intranet platform. Alumni Relations
Lead development, implementation, and assessment of strategies and programs to maintain lifelong engagement among our employees once they leave L.E.K. and pursue other opportunities. Manage all aspects of the L.E.K. Network web pages for alumni and staff. Coordinate programming for alumni (webinars, mentor/mentee programs, panel discussions, reunions, cocktail parties, etc.) and engage partners and staff in these events. Cultivate alumni ambassadors and internal partner champions for the alumni program. Employment Branding
Partner with the People team on implementation/communication of employer brand and employee value proposition, to establish L.E.K. Consulting as an employer of choice for internal and external talent. Build social media strategy to engage prospective employees at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Manage company presence on employment-related websites and social media platforms; monitor and respond to employment-related channels as appropriate. External Corporate Communications
Manage firmwide corporate messaging to the media and other stakeholders. Collaborate with senior leaders to craft firmwide messaging strategy around corporate positioning, purpose, values, and employee value proposition. Collaborate with the Content CoE on external promotion of firmwide thought leadership. Partner with the Digital CoE on social media strategy to external audiences. Collaborate with regional marketing teams on PR related to services or thought leadership as needed. Culture and Engagement
Drive programs to improve engagement among employees, contributing to a high-performing organization. Support career services initiatives across the firm, including messaging to boost retention and productivity. Relaunch and reinforce the firm\'s corporate purpose and values. Shape internal communication strategies and develop materials related to Employee Value Proposition, Diversity & Inclusion, Sustainability, benefits, work-life balance, and other topics as determined by leadership. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Human Capital, and Career Services to maintain consistent messaging across recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding. Requirements
10+ years of relevant work experience with clear progression in roles and responsibilities, including prior team management. 3+ years in a consulting or other professional services environment (e.g., law, accounting). Ability to think strategically and tactically about business needs; translate strategies into comprehensive communication plans with clear messages. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; strong interpersonal and listening skills with proven collaboration capabilities. Ambitious, proactive mentality; able to take initiative and drive tasks to completion. Proven ability to produce high-quality content across formats (print, web, presentations, videos). Ability to work with multiple, diverse stakeholders and collaborate with senior executives. Highly organized, mindful of deadlines, able to multi-task and work with limited supervision. Bachelor\'s degree in journalism, English, Public Relations, Marketing, business, communications or related field. Competency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
