Responsibilities

Build, fine-tune and implement AI and machine learning models to solve challenging problems within the animation space.

Ensure AI and ML production pipelines are scalable, repeatable and tool-agnostic.

Apply current and emerging techniques in deep learning, natural language processing and other ML areas to expand the animation space.

Collect, clean, manage, analyze and visualize large data sets using multiple platforms, tools and techniques.

Work in partnership with game teams to integrate AI solutions into products and services.

Optimize and fine-tune AI models for performance and scalability; analyze and interpret data to extract meaningful insights and improve models.

Document and present findings and solutions to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in data science.

Minimum of 1+ years working in the animation space of AI/ML.

PhD or MSc in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field.

Strong expertise in deep learning; fluent in Python and SQL.

Experience automating ML models and building end-to-end products.

Experience with devops tools and principles (Git, CI/CD, Docker).

Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).

C++ and game engine experience is a plus.

Interest and expertise in animation is desired.

Compensation and Benefits The ranges listed below are EA's good-faith estimates for these locations at the time of posting. Pay offered is determined by factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, and business needs.

Pay Ranges

British Columbia (e.g., Vancouver vs. Victoria): CAD $138,700 - $199,900

California (e.g., Los Angeles vs. San Francisco): USD $160,600 - $249,300

Washington (e.g., Seattle vs. Spokane): USD $149,200 - $205,500

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks/year to start), 80 hours/year of sick time, 16 paid holidays/year, 10 weeks paid parental leave, medical/dental/vision insurance, life and disability insurance, and 401(k). Some roles may be eligible for bonus and equity. In British Columbia, we offer vacation, sick time, parental leave top-ups, extended health/dental/vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and retirement plan. Benefits vary by location and role.
