Overview

The Data Scientist 3 position is a senior-level individual contributor role within the TAS Visualization and Dashboarding team. This teammate brings expertise in project management, stakeholder management, and technical expertise in business intelligence and visualization including SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and other visualization and reporting tools. The candidate will be equally comfortable leading projects and managing communications, developing complex dashboards, or coaching and mentoring teammates. Responsibilities

Lead projects, set standards, communicate effectively with project stakeholders, and develop, deliver and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics products to support audit delivery and operations. Work closely with internal clients, business analysts and development project teams to resolve information flow and content issues. Provide consultation to business leaders on how to leverage analytics insights and build strategies around analytics. Act as a mentor and coach to other teammates. Experience and Qualifications

Your experience includes: Managing projects and communicating with a wide variety of audiences at different levels and technical expertise. Coaching and mentoring on technical and interpersonal skills. Experience delivering data visualizations, automated reporting, data analysis and data extraction to support audit delivery and operations. Practice in sophisticated analytics (statistical and predictive analytics, machine learning modeling, etc.) to provide actionable insights that improve business outcomes and minimize risk. Provide leadership to projects and initiatives to ensure successful delivery of visualization, reporting and automation projects. Proven experience developing, implementing, and documenting standards and best practices for a data visualization and reporting team to ensure deliverables are accurate, complete, current, understandable, and accessible. Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent education and related training Minimum of six years of related experience Demonstrate domain expertise in banking, financial services, fin-tech, quantitative risk management, and/or financial regulation In-depth knowledge in statistics, programming (Python, R, SAS, etc.), machine learning, model development, business information visualization, etc. Ability to maintain a high level of competency in statistical and analytical principles, tools, and techniques Working knowledge of Hadoop, Pig, Hive, and/or NoSQL, Spark Experience in managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a collaborative environment Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or Engineering Ten years of relevant work experience if candidate lacks graduate degree Previous experience in the banking or fin-tech industry Experience with visualization tools in an enterprise production environment such as Tableau, Domo, and Power BI Experience with Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint Online Experience building and optimizing data pipelines for reporting including strong SQL and SAS coding skills Benefits
