Freelance Media Planner (Must Have Retail Client/Brand Experience)
We’re looking for an experienced
Freelance Media Planner
to support a variety of clients and campaigns on a project basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, can jump in quickly, and deliver well-structured, strategic media plans that meet client objectives or contribute to ongoing tasks such as flowchart development, reconciliation, and/or POVs.
Responsibilities:
Develop media strategies and plans for assigned projects, including research, plan development and optimizations.
Manage day-to-day planning tasks such as budgets, flowcharts, and timelines
Collaborate with buying/investment teams to ensure plans are accurately executed and delivered on time
Serve as a point of contact for internal team communications on assigned work
Use planning tools and data to develop informed recommendations and ensure best practices are applied
Monitor campaign pacing and performance with analytics teams, making adjustments as needed
Share knowledge and collaborate with team members to ensure consistent quality and efficiency
Qualifications:
3–5 years of media planning experience, preferably in an agency or multi-client environment
Experience with key planning tools including Guideline(formerly MediaTools), PRISMA, NMI, Telmar, Nielsen Ad Intel and MRI-Simmons
Experience working with retail clients or other high-volume, fast-turn industries is a plus
Proficiency in building and presenting media plans
Strong understanding of both traditional and digital channels, including programmatic display, CTV, OLV, YouTube, search, audio, OOH, radio, social, and print
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
Clear communicator with strong collaboration skills
Able to hit the ground running and work independently with minimal supervision
