Pi Studio in Reno develops entertaining land-based slot machines and is part of Bluberi's R&D department. The artist team includes professionals across mathematics, visual arts, software engineering, game design, audio engineering, and quality assurance. The team uses a hybrid model to iterate on content for target hardware with flexibility and efficiency. Summary
Collaborate with artists, engineers and the game development team to implement completed art assets. Act as a liaison between art and engineering to enable seamless asset integration and optimize final visuals for performance and efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Verify that game assets meet technical requirements. Update and modify artwork to meet technical requirements in a timely and efficient manner to support engineering development. Demonstrate a strong understanding of game engines, pipelines, and processes. Experience in lighting, shading, VFX, environments, characters, physically based rendering (PBR), and content management & optimization. Be meticulous and organized in handling tasks, files, and asset storage. Strong knowledge of Unity, Adobe Suite, and 3D software (e.g., 3DS Max, Maya, ZBrush). Experience scripting or programming knowledge (Python, JavaScript, C#, C++) is a plus. Excellent troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills. Ability to create and ship art that meets engineering specifications. Provide effective critiques and accept feedback and criticism. Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and learn new tools/techniques. Serve as a guidance resource for the development of new art team members when needed. Required Skills and Experience
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Graphic Art, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in casino gaming or game development. Ability to work in different art styles. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail. Good time management and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Demands
Regularly required to talk or hear; able to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to operate objects and tools. Close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to travel if needed. Employment Details
