User Experience Designer II
Location: Preference for Charlotte, NC, but can reside anywhere in EST

Hybrid/Remote flexibility

We’re seeking a User Experience Designer II to join a small, fast-moving design team supporting enterprise and SMB restaurant platforms. This role will focus on transforming complex, data-intensive configuration tools into intuitive, guided experiences across web and mobile. You’ll help simplify the setup of POS systems, menu boards, and other hospitality-focused digital tools used by brands ranging from major chains to local restaurants.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with a senior UX designer, product managers, and engineers to translate complex requirements into clear, step-by-step user flows

  • Leverage an established enterprise design system in Figma to create responsive designs across desktop, tablet, and mobile

  • Contribute to the design of data-driven interfaces that simplify configuration workflows

  • Support user research activities, usability testing, and integrate findings into design iterations

  • Document and maintain design patterns, specifications, and guidelines for development handoff

  • Partner closely with product managers to align design decisions with SLAs, metrics, and customer needs

  • Contribute to projects spanning 7 products across a team of 5 designers, with opportunities to grow into other areas

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong UX focus (flows, patterns, and problem-solving over heavy UI creation)

  • Experience with enterprise platforms and responsive web technologies

  • Deep knowledge of Figma and design systems at scale

  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms and configuration-heavy workflows

  • Experience designing for hospitality, POS, or restaurant systems (Square, Toast, kitchen systems, or CRM/Salesforce a plus)

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, data-driven environment

  • Portfolio required: include case studies with problem statements and your approach to solutions

Bonus Points

  • Background in hospitality or restaurant tech

  • Freelance or agency experience welcomed

  • Experience with highly data-intensive products
