This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% remote and is based out of the Lakeville, MN; Sun Prairie, WI; Naperville, IL; or Bloomington, IL office. A typical day: This position designs, executes and optimizes personalized, data-driven customer journeys across email, SMS, web and other digital channels. Blends technical platform expertise with strategic marketing insight to deliver high-impact campaigns that drive engagement, conversion and loyalty. Working closely with cross-functional teams, translates business objectives into actionable Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) solutions, leveraging tools such as Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio and Mobile Studio to reach the right audience at the right time while ensuring data accuracy, compliance and continuous performance improvement. The contributions you will make: Marketing Automation Strategy Execution and Reporting Manages the organization’s Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, ensuring accurate data, effective audience segmentation and seamless campaign execution across email, SMS, landing pages and automated journeys. Builds and maintains digital assets including dynamic content, landing pages and campaign-specific creative to support lead generation, lifecycle journeys and event promotion. Executes marketing automation programs for campaigns, webinars, tradeshows and both client-facing and internal initiatives. Partners with business marketing leads to design and deliver demand generation strategies, ensuring campaign architecture and messaging align with overall objectives. Develops and manages lead scoring practices to accurately identify and prioritize marketing qualified leads. Supports account-based and personalized marketing initiatives, collaborating with product marketing teams to deliver tailored content streams and campaigns. Maintains and oversees the campaign calendar, aligning scheduling and deployment with business priorities, forecasts and stakeholder expectations. Creates and optimizes nurture programs that align with customer journey stages to deepen engagement and brand loyalty. Data Segmentation and Platform Integration Administers and maintains client data sets, performing regular segmentation to ensure audience targeting aligns with campaign objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). Builds targeted audience segments for each marketing initiative to maximize engagement, revenue and relevance. Maintains an up-to-date opt-in client database, ensuring compliance with marketing communication preferences and regulatory requirements. Manages integrations between the marketing automation platform and other technologies to support data flow and enhance campaign capabilities. Conducts quality assurance audits and testing within the platform to ensure accurate program implementation and identify opportunities for improvement. Builds the technical framework for complex, multi-channel digital campaigns to deliver a seamless and engaging customer experience. Serves as the marketing automation subject matter expert in campaign planning sessions, providing guidance to optimize strategies, workflows, and outcomes. Performance, Optimization and Collaboration Partners with sales enablement, inside sales, and marketing teams to align demand generation programs, enhance lead tracking methodologies, and improve the accuracy and clarity of performance reporting. Collaborates with the enterprise data team to develop segmentation strategies, maintain data quality standards and ensure marketing efforts are supported by accurate, actionable data. Manages the relationship with marketing automation vendors, ensuring platform capabilities align with evolving business needs. Analyzes campaign performance, customer behavior, and engagement trends to identify actionable insights that drive continuous improvement. Creates and shares reports, dashboards, and performance summaries with key stakeholders to measure success against KPIs. Monitors deliverability, engagement rates, and compliance with regulations such as CAN-SPAM and GDPR. Stays current on Salesforce Marketing Cloud feature releases, digital marketing trends, and best practices, incorporating new capabilities where beneficial. Serves as a subject matter expert for marketing automation platforms, providing guidance, training and support to internal users. Industry Expertise Stays current on the latest trends, innovations, and educational resources in marketing automation and email marketing to ensure continuous professional development and the application of cutting-edge practices. Actively monitors and assimilates industry best practices, emerging trends, and potential partnership opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the team's email marketing initiatives. The skills and experience we prefer you have: A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. A minimum of 3 years of marketing experience with demand generation and marketing automation exposure or other applicable experience is needed. Proven hands-on experience with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, as well as experience with integrations between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and CRMs like Salesforce Sales or Service Cloud, is essential. Financial industry experience is preferred, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications are required. Deep knowledge of key SFMC modules: Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder. Background in developing journey maps or customer lifecycle frameworks. Solid understanding of client segmentation based on product ownership data to tailor custom product, service propositions and/or thought leadership content. Solid understanding of digital marketing concepts, customer lifecycle strategies, and data privacy compliance. Experience managing campaign builds from strategy through to deployment and reporting. General knowledge of the financial industry and competitor’s products. Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. Strong grammatical and proofreading skills and the ability to adapt writing copy to various audiences, purposes, or media. Solid creative style skills. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. Demonstrates creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, and resourcefulness to consistently help the team meet goals. Ability to handle multiple facets of projects at multiple phases of development and implementation. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external partners. The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.
