Leidos is seeking a highly skilled
Principal User Interface (UI) Developer
to join our growing application development team. We are looking for a software engineer with expertise in user interface (UI) development who will play a key role in translating system requirements into software specifications, designing intuitive UI components, and implementing software applications in an agile environment.
The ideal candidate must have strong
JavaScript
skills and experience working with modern application stacks, including microservices and web applications deployed in a cloud-native environment using
Kubernetes and Docker
.
Responsibilities Include:
Collaborate with
Subject Matter Experts
and
Systems Engineers
to fully understand system requirements and desired user experience (UX).
Design and develop
user interface components
that enhance usability and performance.
Assist in the
design and development of back-end services
to support application functionality.

Basic Qualifications
A
Bachelor's degree
in
Computer Science
or a related field, along with
20+ years of experience
in software development, contributing to high-impact projects. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an
additional 4 years of software development experience
will be required
Deep expertise in
Java
and modern software engineering principles
Strong proficiency in
JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
?Experience with
React
or similar UI frameworks (
Vue, Angular
)
Skilled in consuming and creating
REST APIs
and
WebSockets
Proven ability to
design, optimize, and develop
software for advanced computing environments
Expertise in
algorithm development
with strict performance requirements
Clearance Requirement
: Active
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with JavaScript 3D libraries such as Three.js is preferred, but not required
