We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled
Civil Designer
with specific experience in
sewage and wastewater infrastructure
to join our engineering team. This position is responsible for developing detailed civil design plans for municipal and private sector wastewater projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and prepare
design drawings ,
plans , and
technical specifications
for sewage and stormwater infrastructure including gravity sewers, force mains, lift stations, and treatment systems. Utilize
CAD software
and other design tools to produce accurate and comprehensive construction documents. Collaborate with civil engineers and project managers to refine designs based on technical criteria and site constraints. Conduct
site grading, drainage design , and
utility coordination
with consideration for environmental and regulatory constraints. Review existing utility data, survey files, and geotechnical reports to incorporate into design plans. Support
permitting efforts
by preparing submittal packages and responding to review comments from municipalities and agencies. Coordinate with contractors and field staff during the construction phase to resolve issues and maintain design integrity. Ensure that all designs conform to
local, state, and federal wastewater design standards
and best practices. Required Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in
Civil Engineering ,
Drafting Technology , or a related field. 3-5 years of experience
in civil design, specifically with
sewage and wastewater systems . Proficient in
Carlson and AutoCAD , including surface modeling, alignments, profiles, and pipe networks. Familiarity with
hydraulic and hydrologic modeling tools. Working knowledge of
municipal design codes ,
EPA regulations , and
NPDES permitting . Ability to read and interpret civil engineering plans and specifications. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
