Wye River Marine is hiring: Marine Service Writer in Stevensville

Full Time Position – Pay based on experience + Bonus + Paid vacation

Hours: Monday through Friday - 7:30-4:00. Some Saturdays until 12:00 in season.

We are looking to hire an energetic, highly motivated, career-oriented individual to help guide our service department.  This is a great job for anyone with some technical background, customer service experience and a passion for boating.   We are looking for someone who is looking to build a long-term career.

Responsibilities Include:

·       Handle/manage incoming service walk ins, phone calls and emails

·       Input and manage service work orders and customer boat/engine details.

·       Work with GM and master techs to arrange work schedule.

·       Work with master techs to develop quotes and communicate with customers.

·       Work with techs to order and receive parts.

·       Responsible for invoicing and billing.

·       Contact customers to confirm satisfaction and promote new service work.

·       Work with GM and Master Techs to help maintain the best Marine Service

Department in the Industry!

Required Qualifications:

·       Must be very organized and detail oriented.

·       Must be a friendly, go getter with excellent communication and customer service skills.

·       Must have some computer background – Microsoft Word, Excel. Quickbooks a plus.

·       Some understanding of marine engines and electrical system terms in boats preferred.

·       Must be extremely tolerant of customers and fellow employees.

·       Must be accountable and responsible. 

·       Must have a strong work ethic – On time, all the time!

·       Clean driver’s license.

·       Active power boater or boating background preferred.
