The Technical Product Marketing Director is a member of Elixir’s growing Marketing team and is responsible for owning and driving product positioning, competitive analysis, pricing and packaging, and product launches. This is a highly collaborative and hands on role that requires partnering closely with Product, Sales, Alliances, Solution Engineers, and other internal and external teams to deliver insights, trends, and recommendations on a regular basis that improve Elixir’s competitive edge.


The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with cross-functional teams and will own and drive the development of differentiated messaging and positioning that increases awareness and demand. You are the perfect example of a player coach with a track record of leveraging data to drive effective decision-making. With a focus on improving GTM strategy and execution, you inspire teams to prioritize based on impact, bias towards action, and achieve tangible results. This person should be comfortable with executing multiple work streams, adapting to constant change, and building analysis with energy and passion.

Essential Functions

Under the general supervision of the CEO and/or CRO, the essential functions include:

  • Research and develop product positioning and competitive analysis
  • Work with the Product Team, who owns pricing, to create packaging and bundles for our configurable solution accelerators across verticals
  • Develop the voice and story of the product and market positioning
  • Work closely with the Finance, Sales, and Product teams to set pricing that aligns to the product value proposition and with our users’ success
  • Partner with Product, Alliances, and Sales to gain a deep understanding of a day in the life of our audience including pain points and the customer journey
  • Hands on product demo ability and deep technical understanding in a regulated market with technical buyers
  • Hands-on creation of content and collateral, individually and in collaboration with Product, Sales, Alliances, and other teams
  • Serve as the resident specialist for all aspects of competitive analysis across the CCM landscape
  • Gather intelligence about the competition through primary and secondary collection methods, including attending industry conferences
  • Analyze findings and develop Elixir’s competitive positioning and messaging
  • Collaborate with demand generation and partner lead generation programs to help Elixir obtain market share
  • Collaborate with Revenue Operations for Go to Market activities, maintaining and growing our technology stack to meet our business objectives, and support enablement needs
  • Collaborate with Product Management to communicate to employees, customers, and partners important product announcements, milestones, achievements, and releases
  • Research and Develop configurable solution accelerator definitions, packaging, and bundling with our connector and integration strategy
  • Work with the Marketing team to position Elixir as thought leaders in the market with published content, analyst reports and quadrants collateral, webinars, writing and designing content, events and keynotes speaking engagements
  • Collaborate with Sales and Alliances to develop sales and partner enablement & competitive collateral to educate internal teams on Elixir’s strengths and weaknesses
  • Provide an objective assessment of Elixir’s true competitive position as well as provide recommendations to internal teams to increase Elixir’s competitive edge
  • Use Elixir Cloud to communicate to Elixir customers and partners
  • Assist with and participate in product launches, product demonstrations, partner/customer conferences, and planning sessions
  • Champion client testimonials and customer success stories, identifying new opportunities to showcase client success and leverage these stories to create client impact
  • Collaborate with the Product team to establish customer needs and product requirements based on market feedback
  • Engage with customers and industry influencers to understand our customers’ current and future needs

You understand the network of partners and stakeholders in the CCM ecosystem, and are excited about telling the story of how Elixir’s products are differentiated within this space
Requirements:

Required education and experience

  • 7 years of experience in product marketing
  • PMM role with at least 3 B2B SaaS software vendors that provided strategic enterprise applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field?
  • Pragmatic Institute Product Management certification or open to getting certified

Preferred education and experience

  • Master’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • CCM and/or CX market experience
  • Experience with Agile Product Development frameworks
