About You
We are looking for a heavyweight in startup and VC comms to join our team as Vice President. Not just seasoned—you’ve seen the cycles, built the narratives, and shaped the perception of some of the most important upstart and investor names in tech. You thrive in high-stakes environments where strategy, speed, and storytelling intersect. You bring a rare mix of instinct and intelligence, relationship and rigor. What You Do
- Drive Growth, Creatively & Commercially - Generate and lead new business with hunger and precision. You understand where the market is heading and know how to align client ambition with agency growth.
- Champion Archetype in the Wild - Represent Archetype in the industry with pride. Whether speaking on panels or building behind-the-scenes influence, you show up and stand out.
- Lead with Vision & Grit - Set the strategic direction for high-growth tech clients. You drive narratives that matter and guide clients through critical moments.
- Be the Name They Know & Trust - Deliver game-changing counsel at the partner and C-level. You anticipate, advise, and solve before challenges arise—and elevate every conversation you enter.
- Own the Room & the Work - You inspire confidence with every interaction. Whether in the pitch, the boardroom, or the media moment, you command attention with clarity and confidence.
- Strategy & Counsel - Expert trend spotter; provides clients proactive recommendations based on industry trends; deep understanding of complex products, services and solutions
- Account Management - Responsible for the overall health of the account; manages internal account team, including budgeting, planning and staff development
- Media Relations - Develop and oversee major media programs; maintain established relationships with highest level of industry press
- Cultivate Teams That Crush It - Recruit, coach, and grow top-performing teams that thrive under your leadership. You raise the bar and bring others with you.
- VC - You have VC experience; ideally you have worked at / with a VC firm and with well-known VC-backed startups that reached exit velocity.
What You Offer
- 10-12+ years of experience in public relations and/or corporate communications
- Expertise across the evolving media ecosystem, from top-tier tech journalists to emerging creators and influencers shaping conversation on social and digital platforms
- A track record of driving measurable growth for clients and the agency
- Comes with a strong, relevant network that opens doors—whether to prospective clients, media, creators, or industry connectors—bringing immediate value to the agency
- Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams
- Strong instincts, sharper insights, and the ability to bring clarity to complexity
- Impeccable writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball—or the energy
- Deep integrity, no ego, and a team-first mindset
- A curiosity and passion for using technology to do your job better and more efficiently
