MMJ/MORNING NEWS ANCHOR - WWSB at Gray Media. ABC7 in Sarasota is searching for its next MMJ/Weekday Morning Anchor to lead the morning broadcasts with a digital-first mindset, delivering stories on the desk and in the field while growing with a dynamic newsroom. Job Summary/Description

Live, work, and report in a unique media market. You will start the broadcast day with top-quality content, balance on‑air delivery with newsroom leadership, and produce general assignment and enterprise stories when not on the desk. The role requires a newsroom leader who embraces a digital-first philosophy and social media strategy, participates in community events, and serves as an ambassador for the station. Duties/Responsibilities

Anchor newscasts with clean, engaging, and thoughtful delivery Report lead stories in multiple newscasts as an MMJ File digital reports and long-form interviews from the newsroom Digital Live Desk Write articles, post updates, and manage content on the station website and social media platforms Engage audience through social channels and personal appearances Develop and maintain contacts with local newsmakers and experts Partner with newsroom managers to increase productivity and teamwork Qualifications/Requirements

Demonstrated track record of producing news reports from the field with MMJ equipment and a cell phone At least two years\' experience as an Anchor & MMJ Confident and experienced on-air performer Ability to handle breaking news on-air, online, and behind the scenes in a timely and professional manner Leadership of the news team and a trusted editorial voice Internship in a commercial newsroom Bachelor\'s Degree or comparable experience Application Information
