Overview
Marketing Representative (Entry Level) - Montvale, NJ at Jimcor Agencies. This is an entry level marketing/sales role with a 24 month training and development program designed to prepare you to become a sales professional in the insurance industry. The program includes hands-on sales training and insurance education, with a focus on increasing new submissions, quotes, and premium through promotion of retail web-based and telephone quoting systems.
Essential Functions
Increase new submissions, quotes and premium by: conducting 20 sales calls per week to demonstrate web and phone quoting capabilities and setting retailers up on the web quoting system; weekly reporting of completed meetings and upcoming meetings
Timely follow up and ongoing communication with customers/prospects to identify and capitalize on additional opportunities
Systematic prospecting and arranging meetings with potential new customers and with customers with untapped potential
Identify and establish relationships with key contacts to ensure we are doing business with the right people in each retail operation
Work with the team to review web activity, spot trends, address positive and negative trends promptly
Establish an active relationship with the Regional Sales Manager and regularly discuss strategy and tactics, including sales issues, travel and follow up
Pursue continuing education and insurance designations/licenses as outlined in the training and development plan (self-study required)
Travel
80% of time spent in the field visiting customers
Occasional overnight travel required
Attend two week insurance bootcamp and two-day annual sales conference in Wayne, PA
Hybrid schedule in Montvale, NJ office: Tuesdays and Thursdays, additional scheduled dates as needed. Working remotely and travel Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required
