Assistant Director of Multimedia In-Person or Remote Opportunity About Alpha Omicron Pi Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity (AOII) has been a pillar in the Fraternity/Sorority Life community since its founding date of January 2, 1897, at Barnard College.

Since that date AOII has established chapters on over 200 college campuses across the United States and Canada and initiated more than 211,000 members.

Culture Principles: AOII Ends: Accountability & Ownership Ambition Collaboration Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Engagement Leadership Innovation Sense of Belonging Open & Honest Communication Service Why the Assistant Director of Multimedia of AOII: As the Assistant Director of Multimedia for AOII, you will be a vital member of the Communications Department by managing the Fraternity’s multimedia presence. The primary focuses of the Assistant Director of Multimedia are to oversee all multimedia aspects of Fraternity campaigns and initiatives. This role will require travel to capture photo and video content as needed throughout the year, provide coaching to chapters on photo and video production, and support with chapter photo and video needs. Reports to: ·

Director of Communications Essential Duties or Functions: ·

Plan, develop, and execute all multimedia video productions for all strategic initiatives within AOII, including, but not limited to, event and marketing promotions, member engagement, education, new chapter development, fundraising, and announcements ·

Serve as photographer/videographer for projects and during events, including, but not limited to, Strike Out Arthritis! events, collegiate recruitment, Arthritis Foundation events, Pi Day and respective preparations, AOII house dedications/celebrations, and AOII International events ·

Coordinate photo and video shooting and script writing for various AOII projects alongside the Assistant Director of Editorial Content ·

Manage official Alpha Omicron Pi presence on YouTube and Pinterest ·

Provide digital media support and content for all social media channels, website, and marketing partnerships ·

Assist individual chapters with digital media support and coaching, as needed ·

Maintain the archival library of all Fraternity and Foundation multimedia materials including digital and print photography, website photo submissions and the transfer of materials into current industry media standards ·

Support the partnership with the AOII Foundation and the Arthritis Foundation in collaboration with the Director of Strategic Partnerships and the Communications Team ·

Serve on the Communications team in support of the AOII Archives and AOII Museum with digital multimedia needs ·

Collaborate with the Communications team on public relations initiatives and strategic marketing initiatives ·

Serve on the Communications team to support AOII in any related duties required or requested by the Executive Director or Assistant Executive Director ·

Will serve as a member of the Fraternity Communications Association (FCA) Assistant Director of Multimedia must be able to demonstrate: ·

Active listening and problem-solving skills ·

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to easily engage others in positive dialogue one-on-one or in a group setting, and at many different levels ·

High-level of emotional intelligence ·

Skills at prioritizing duties, working under time constraints, handling multiple tasks, and able to direct others to execute shared plans and goals ·

Strong skills in photo and video capturing and editing, design software, (e.g., Final Cut Pro, full Adobe Creative Suite), as well as good command of front-end programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) ·

Strong written and verbal communication skills ·

Strong organizational skills ·

Self-starter attitude with a creative mindset ·

Ability to think and act independently and the ability to work individually or as a member of a team Required Qualifications: ·

Bachelor’s degree in photojournalism, multimedia, digital communication, new media studies, digital strategy, or related disciplines ·

Work portfolio with accessible links ·

Ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language ·

Physical mobility and dexterity to transport file and operate general office equipment (telephone, fax, copier, computer, etc.) ·

Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) ·

Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva ·

Must be able to work evening and weekend functions as necessary ·

Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% of the calendar year ·

Membership in a Fraternity/Sorority preferred ·

Two to four years of relevant experience preferred Working Conditions: ·

Office setting based in Brentwood, TN, remote work capable ·

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on the computer ·
