We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President of Marketing to architect and execute the marketing strategy for our core Oncology portfolio. This is a highly visible and entrepreneurial leadership role where you will shape how we communicate the value of our diagnostic and AI solutions to oncologists and healthcare providers.Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be instrumental in defining our market position, accelerating adoption, and driving the growth of the business.ResponsibilitiesArchitect the Marketing Strategy: own the end-to-end marketing vision for our Oncology solutions, including market segmentation, product positioning, and differentiated messaging for clinical audiences.Drive Commercial Growth: partner with the Oncology GM and Sales leadership to develop and execute integrated marketing plans that contribute to revenue growth and market share.Craft Compelling Narratives & Campaigns: translate complex genomic and clinical concepts into clear stories; design multi-channel campaigns that create demand and establish Tempus as a thought leader in precision oncology.Foster Deep Cross-Functional Alignment: partner with Product, R&D, Sales, and Medical Affairs to synchronize commercial and product strategies.Build a World-Class Content Engine: oversee creation and dissemination of content from publications to sales tools and digital assets that educate partners and empower commercial teams.Establish a Data-Driven Marketing Culture: define, track, and report on KPIs and ROI; use data to optimize campaigns and resource allocation.Lead and Inspire a High-Performing Team: mentor, develop, and recruit marketing professionals.QualificationsA seasoned marketing leader with 10+ years of progressive experience, including senior roles in oncology, diagnostics, life sciences, or related healthcare technology.Deep scientific and market expertise in oncology, including diagnostics, genomics, and clinical workflow understanding.Exceptional storyteller and communicator; able to translate complex scientific concepts into clear value propositions for clinical and commercial audiences.Proven commercial strategist with a track record of driving revenue growth and adoption metrics.Inspirational leader with experience building and mentoring high-performing teams.Strong cross-functional leadership, managing complex projects and driving alignment in a matrixed organization.Entrepreneurial, results-oriented mindset; thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.Analytically minded with experience using data to drive strategy and measure impact.Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Salary Range: $190,000-$250,000 USDThe expected salary range applies if the role is performed from California and may vary for other locations (Colorado, Illinois, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
