Job Title: Trainer/Content Developer (Hybrid)

Job Description:
The primary role of the trainer/content developer is to analyze CWIS functionality to develop and deliver classroom facilitator-led learning solutions and eLearning courses supporting system implementation. This position collaborates closely with the Training Lead, Business and Agile Teams, Development Team, and other subject matter experts to understand requirements, design training, develop course materials, maintain Adobe FrameMaker templates and scripts, and update training materials for adult learners. The trainer will also facilitate classroom and virtual training sessions for employees overseeing Child Welfare programs in CWIS.
Travel expenses are reimbursed according to the state's protocol. The contractor may ride with an employee driving a state vehicle or drive their personal vehicle for mileage reimbursement. Per diem and hotel expenses are handled through the state.
Note: Up to 30% statewide travel is required, including some evenings and weekends.
Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years experience in curriculum design and developing training materials for adult learners
- Understanding of social services programs at county, regional, and state levels
- Research and evaluate NC FAST case management software to translate functionality into effective learning materials
- Experience working with training developers, subject matter experts, and technical support to ensure training effectiveness
- 3+ years experience in business analysis and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- 3+ years experience with Learning Management System (LMS) technology such as Moodle, XML, HTML
- Designing and delivering computer-based training and instructional design with learning program design systems
- Experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Photoshop, Visio, or similar applications
- Developing interactive instructional materials using interactions and simulations
- Leading training sessions in person, virtually, or via webinar
- Ability to support basic application software and hardware
- Strong understanding of internet concepts and web technology
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience evaluating student progress and providing feedback
- Knowledge of NC FAST and Medicaid Program in NC (preferred, 2+ years)
