Visual Warehouse Job at Kittles Home Furnishings Center Inc. in Indianapolis

Kittle's Furniture is a family owned furniture retailer in Indiana for over 90 years. We are looking for a driven, ambitious, and enthusiastic, full-time, hourly, Visual Warehouse Associate to join our team at our Allisonville Road Superstore. Retail hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

About The Role:

In this position, you'll work with the Visual Manager and the Warehouse Team ensuring we have an efficient and organized operation within the store's warehouse and retail floor. You will load and unload trucks with furniture. You'll facilitate and move inventory within the store; focusing on the presentation and arrangement of our merchandise on our showroom floor. You'll update inventory records when moving merchandise and assist customer's in picking up product they've purchased off the floor. Travel to our other retail stores is required to assist with floor moves and updating of their visual displays.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an organized and clean retail warehouse.
• Ensure all merchandise is clearly tagged/labeled.
• Arrange and display merchandise in a visually appealing manner to attract customer attention.
• Assist with loading and unloading of delivery trucks and customer pickups.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, sales associates, and business partners.
• Collaborate with visual manager to maximize space and product visibility.
• Work with visual manager and store management team to ensure displays are maintained and updated as needed.
• Utilize visual elements such as color, lighting, and signage to create an engaging shopping experience.
• Assemble furniture and install promotional signage and displays.
• Maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Heavy lifting of furniture is required - the ability to push, pull, tug, lift of 75+ lbs.
• Proper use of tools and climbing of ladders is required.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and equipment operation to support a secure and productive work environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
