As Sync Agent, Globe USA (Film and TV), you'll lead our sync strategy and business development efforts in the United States. Based in Los Angeles, your focus will be to secure placements for Universal Music Group's UK artists and catalogue across film, TV, advertising and digital media. You'll act as a trusted connector and creative partner, working closely with music supervisors, studios, agencies and brand teams, while maintaining close alignment with UK-based A&R and label teams. This is a high-impact role that blends commercial thinking with creative intuition, and one that will play a pivotal role in expanding our global footprint.
On any given day you could be:
- Pitching music across frontline and catalogue to sync contacts in film, TV and branded content
- Meeting with music supervisors and production teams to understand upcoming opportunities
- Collaborating with UK A&R to create bespoke music responses for client briefs
- Negotiating sync deals, overseeing rights clearance, licensing and financial administration
- Attending industry events, showcases and meetings to promote artists and repertoire
- Monitoring trends in entertainment, tech and digital platforms to identify new opportunities
- Reporting on sync performance and catalogue activity to UK stakeholders
You will help position UK artists and releases in the most culturally and commercially powerful sync opportunities the US market has to offer. Your success will directly contribute to the growth of sync revenue and audience reach for Universal Music UK, ensuring that British music continues to thrive on the global stage. You will bring Globe USA to life, establishing us as a go-to sync partner in one of the world's most dynamic creative industries.

Key responsibilities include:
- Drive Globe USA's sync strategy, with a focus on securing US-based placements for UK repertoire
- Build and nurture relationships with film/TV studios, music supervisors, brands and agencies
- Pitch music across frontline, catalogue and bespoke compositions
- Collaborate with UK labels and A&R to deliver compelling musical responses to briefs
- Negotiate, close and execute sync deals from initial approach through licensing and billing
- Identify trends and new placement opportunities across entertainment, advertising and digital
- Represent Universal Music UK at events, panels, showcases and client meetings
- Track and report on sync activity, market insights and performance impact
Our ideal candidate:
- Has 8+ years of experience in sync, music licensing or music supervision
- Has a strong network of US-based music supervision and media contacts
- Has a proven record of pitching and securing sync placements
- Has a deep understanding of licensing, copyright and rights clearance
- Has excellent negotiation and deal-closing skills
- Is highly organised and capable of managing multiple campaigns at once
- Is confident using tools such as DISCO, Salesforce and music analytics platforms
- Is based in Los Angeles with the flexibility to travel when required
- Has passion for British music and its global potential is a strong plus

Salary Range: $67,900 - $125,730
The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
