The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking a Japanese-language Creative Copywriter (Contractor) specialized in Marketing to support our Advancement Department during the upcoming Japan fundraising campaign for Wikipedia. This role involves contributing ideas and writing support for banners, email, and other fundraising content. The position is part-time and project-based, with guidance and oversight provided by the Fundraising department's content team.
Responsibilities
- Contribute content ideas for fundraising materials (e.g. banners, email) in Japanese
- Deliver creative copy in Japanese as assigned and provide back-translations in English
- Provide review and copyediting support
Required Qualifications
- Experience writing compelling, audience-oriented copy
- Experience in marketing required
- Ability to take feedback and adapt to collaborative, fast-paced workflows
- Comfortable working in a mission-driven, international environment
