Overview
As our Grant Writer/Grants Manager, you play a key role in securing and sustaining funding from a diverse portfolio of funders that contribute to College Track's annual revenue of $57.8M. You will create clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals and reports that support thousands of scholars in their journeys to and through college. Day to day, you will prepare grant proposals and reports, collaborate with Central and site-based teams to gather necessary information, and work with a group of passionate writers to share knowledge and best practices. Responsibilities
- Prepare grant proposals and reports for a diverse funder portfolio.
- Collaborate with Central and site-based teams to gather information and meet funder requirements.
- Work with a team of grant writers to share knowledge and best practices.
- Demonstrate highly skilled, persuasive writing and collaborative abilities to secure and sustain funding.
Qualifications
- Skilled, persuasive, and sophisticated writer whose words inspire action, especially when telling stories of historically underrepresented communities through an asset-based lens.
- Adept project manager, able to plan and execute effectively while juggling multiple, concurrent deadlines with precision.

- Willing to work remotely or hybrid from one of the regional locations: Oakland, CA; Sacramento, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Denver, CO; New Orleans, LA; or the D.C. Metro Area.

Salary by location
The full salary range for each location is below:
- Oakland, CA ($78,000-$95,000)
- Sacramento, CA ($70,000-$85,500)
- Los Angeles, CA ($70,000-$85,500)
- Denver, CO ($70,000-$85,500)
- New Orleans, LA ($62,000-$75,500)
- D.C. Metro Area ($78,000-$95,000)
As a new hire, you can expect an offer in the second quartile to support internal equity while leaving room for salary growth during your time in the role.
