Role Description:

As a Graphic Artist at DM, you’ll collaborate with our Product Developers and Copywriters to design products, packaging, displays and marketing content for over 200 exclusive brands from concept to finished product. You will also handle photography, photo editing and marketing materials, including catalogs, social media content, email blasts, print advertisements and showroom graphics. Every day at DM presents a new opportunity to push your talents and expand your concept of design!

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with Product Development for initial product design and packaging concept
  • Completing preliminary design research, develop concepts, prepare mockups and mood boards
  • Work closely with Product Developer and Copywriter to develop and approve product, packaging and display text/final message
  • Review and approve final production samples
  • Stage, shoot and retouch product images using Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop
  • Work with Copywriters to produce print-ready brand catalogs and product sell sheets
  • Ensure timely project hand-off to Product Developers and Copywriters in accordance with calendar
  • Build email campaign content
  • Create supporting materials for trade shows and events
  • Other duties as required

General Requirements:

  • Fresh, original portfolio of past design work
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
  • Must be flexible to deadline demands and seasonal schedules
  • Talented in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Lightroom. Experience using Asana a plus.
  • Ability to think in 3D – previous experience with product design is not needed but highly appreciated
  • Ability to work independently, balanced with a strong willingness to collaborate
  • Must be able to accept constructive criticism
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and communicate delays effectively
  • A passion for expanding knowledge of design tools and processes

Applicants Must Have:

  • 5+ years of design experience (firm)
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
