Job Description

Job Title: Makeup Artist
Seasonal Employment

As a Makeup Artist, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our haunted attraction’s most chilling visions to life. You will apply advanced makeup, prosthetics, and special effects to transform performers into unforgettable characters. The role emphasizes airbrush artistry to create seamless, high-impact looks that withstand hours of performance and enhance the immersive atmosphere. You will collaborate with a team of artists and performers to ensure looks are innovative and immersive. This position requires a passion for the macabre, strong technical skills in special effects makeup (especially airbrush work), and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Craft striking, professional-grade makeup looks for actors based on look book and character designs.
• Employ techniques including airbrushing, hand-painting, and prosthetic work to bring characters to life.
• Execute established character designs while infusing creative flair where appropriate.
• Ensure makeup applications are durable for hours of performance and movement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to apply and work in this role.
• Flexible availability to work evenings and weekends, with reliable attendance.
• Comfortable standing and moving throughout the event area for extended periods.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with professionalism in challenging situations.

Required

• Must provide your own airbrush equipment (hoses and airbrush gun).
• All makeup and prosthetic supplies will be provided by Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group.
