Description
As a highly skilled freelance sales associate (providing makeup application; skincare advice; hair or fragrance consultations), you will combine creative and technical expertise with a passion for people to provide a welcoming, inspirational, and personalized in-store experience that educates and delights our customers. You will also be part of a high-performing team to create impact with in-store events and ensure the store maintains high standards of visual merchandising to stand out against competitors. This role is a first step in a progressive career with a leader in prestige beauty.
While certification in makeup artistry and/or prior retail makeup experience is desirable, we also welcome applicants with beginner-level expertise. Expertise in fragrance, skincare, and hair consultation is highly valued; however, we are equally open to those looking to develop skills in these areas. Responsibilities
- Provide makeup artistry, skincare, hair, or fragrance consultations and education to customers in-store.
- Create an inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer experience.
- Collaborate with the team to execute in-store events and maintain visual merchandising standards.
- Support the store in achieving sales and customer satisfaction targets.
Qualifications
- Retail experience is preferred, but applicants with amateur level experience who demonstrate high creative and technical expertise are welcome.
- Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service.
- Ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software.

Pay Range
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $22.00 to $25.00. Exact hourly rate depends on factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
