Overview


Human Resources Management @ Fuse Technical Group | SHRM-CP The Live Event Audio Technician will support upcoming audio projects for corporate staging events. This role will work closely with internal departments including the Equipment Planning Group (EPG), Fulfillment (Operations), and Sales, as well as on-site teams such as department leads, Technical Directors, and Producers. The role will be responsible for leading audio crews both in the warehouse and at event sites, ensuring smooth execution from prep through strike.


Location


This position is based at our Las Vegas, NV office. In-person work is required unless scheduled for travel to an offsite event. This is not a remote role.


Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with project managers through email, phone/video calls, and/or onsite to understand event expectations and follow project through to completion.

  • Lead audio crews professionally from prep through setup, show, and strike, addressing conflicts respectfully and maintaining team integrity.

  • Design sound systems using manufacturer software, review and verify all equipment on orders and that pull lists are complete. Set up and calibrate sound system parameters, strike equipment and ensure a complete and accurate pack.

  • Monitor audio levels during events, advising of adjustments to avoid feedback or other interference. Assist other audio techs with troubleshooting as needed.

  • Coordinate with the Technical Director and/or Producer to ensure all setup, rehearsals, show, and strike occur on schedule and expectations are met or exceeded with regards to the audio system and staff.

  • Oversee strikes/load outs and account for all audio equipment onsite noting any damages/malfunctions.

  • Other Audio Department tasks and projects as assigned.


General Responsibilities



  • Act as primary point contact for audio projects and lead setups/strikes at event locations.

  • Identify equipment required for audio projects, manage equipment from prep through return.


Qualifications



  • At least 5-7 years of experience as an audio technician.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience setting up and/or installing audio systems with acoustic prediction software.

  • Proficient in RF coordination, Dante, multichannel analog and digital intercom systems.

  • Ability to properly tune, time and phase align small to large sound systems.

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills in high stress situations.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Required travel approximately 25%–75% of the time, depending on project needs


Physical Requirements



  • Required to stand, walk, and sit; see, talk, or hear both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

  • Must be able to work for extended periods at a computer and view one or more screens.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
