Location: Des Moines IA
Salary Range: $55,000 – $75,000 base + bonus potential
As Multisite Community Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of your communities—leading daily operations, motivating your team, and building a place residents are proud to call home. You’ll manage an on-site team, guiding leasing, maintenance, and resident services with excellence and vision. Whether you’re increasing occupancy, managing budgets, or inspiring your staff, you’ll play a critical role in delivering results and shaping a vibrant, thriving communities. You’ll work closely with your Regional Manager but have the autonomy to lead and make an impact every day.
Summary of Position: The Community Property Manager is accountable for all day-to-day property management operations, including maintenance performance, and oversees / enhances the overall value of the property; Effectively manage and coordinate onsite team, activities, and available resources to accomplish community objectives as set forth by the Artisan Regional or Area Manager. Objectives include maximizing rents / occupancy levels and asset preservation. In addition, the Community Property Manager will train the assistant manager to assume all managerial duties in the event of the Community Property Manager’s absence.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all ARTISAN policies and federal/state regulations (Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA, etc.).
- Assist in annual budget preparation and maintain financial performance within budget.
- Monitor and report monthly variances and financial narratives.
- Oversee rent collection, deposit processes, and timely reporting to corporate.
- Handle evictions, utility disconnects, and lien processes for delinquent accounts.
- Manage vendor relationships and approve invoices for payment.
- Conduct market surveys and recommend rental rates.
- Ensure lease files are accurate and approved; oversee office and model unit conditions.
- Submit required reports and attend scheduled management meetings.
- Represent ARTISAN professionally at all times.
- Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Property Manager experience highly preferred
- 2+ years of Leasing Consultant/Assistant Manager or 3+ years supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Industry certifications (ARM, CAM, NALP, RPM) strongly preferred
- Experience with AppFolio a plus
