Job Description

As a Marketing and Content Strategist at One Day In July, you will be responsible for analyzing the firm’s lead flow data, as well as various marketing campaign data to support future growth. Using the knowledge you gain from the data, you will create marketing campaigns across a variety of channels that seek to increase lead flow. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects as you use analytics to come up with a plan, establish a budget, create necessary content, and then deploy and monitor campaigns, adjusting as necessary. You will report to and work closely with One Day In July’s Senior Marketing Manager, Caroline Russell.

We move fast at One Day In July. There are not layers of bureaucracy or committees that need to approve every design or campaign idea. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated by large data sets, detail oriented, possess a keen eye for design, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. This role provides the opportunity to combine technical and creative skills to have a measurable impact on the firm’s growth.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyze lead flow data in order to help the firm become more efficient.
  • Analyze marketing data in order to help identify opportunities for targeted marketing campaigns and allocation of resources.
  • Present findings verbally and in easy-to-read formats for others in the firm to use.
  • Create marketing assets for digital and print campaigns, including graphics and ad copy.
  • Build out new pages and sections on the website using HTML and CSS.
  • Research complicated financial topics and distill them into easy-to-understand materials for use online and in print.
  • Create ads and organic content for social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
  • Be creative and work with the marketing team to generate new ideas in a growth-focused environment.
  • Work closely with the Compliance Department to ensure all advertising and content follows SEC marketing rules.
  • Maintain organized assets in the firm’s recordkeeping system.

A strong candidate will:

  • Be a master of the Adobe Suite, specifically Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and Photoshop. Knowledge of Premiere Pro and Lightroom is a plus.
  • Maintain a high standard for attention to detail and documentation.
  • Enjoy diving into large data sets to extract actionable marketing insights.
  • Possess working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Be organized in a small team with many moving parts.
  • Be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Be well versed in Google Ads and Google Analytics; knowledge of Google Tags is a plus.
  • Have excellent graphic design skills.
  • Possess a positive attitude, grit, and the ability to prioritize.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of ProCreate is a plus.

  • This job is full time and primarily in-person in Burlington, VT.
  • Base Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience.
  • 401k plan with low-cost index funds and a firm-embedded strategy. Available after meeting eligibility requirements.
